Howard D. Jones

Howard D. Jones grew up in Hayward, California and graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology in Arizona with an A.A. in Electronics. He also served in the United States Coast Guard for four years. Howard was hired by BART as an Electronic Technician in 1976 in the Rolling Stock Shop. He is currently working in the Hayward Shop. Howard has been active as a Union Representative for SEIU for many years and served two terms in the 1990s as Chief Steward for the Transit Vehicle Electronic Technicians (TVETs). He is again serving as the Chief Steward for the TVETs. Howard was part of the contract negotiating team for SEIU in 1997 and 2005. He has been with the Investment Plans Committee since November 1997 as a SEIU alternate representative. Howard has been interested in the financial market and investing for many years.
